We’ve all seen those commercials that showed ecstatic parents with little babies happily reading index cards and books after watching the Your Baby Can Read videos. My daughter was already reading by the time this came out and of course, I felt a little Tiger Mom angst that I’d missed out on a product that could give my child a leg-up but it was all for naught.
Check out this story on MY Fox 8 which details the closing up shop by Your Baby Can Read after the advocacy group Commercial Free Childhood filed a complaint against them with the FTC for false and deceptive claims.
Unable to fight the legal issues, Your Baby Can Read has decided to shut down.
