The former gerber baby is an American icon. I am not a parent but was a baby and theres so few things left as reminders of the “good old days” it saddens me to see her go just because she died. I think the company will regret it. Why not do mixed jars will both like coke has done. If it aint broken….leave it alone (the new baby is very cute so no offense to her family) these days no one talks to one another, people have 2 hundred “friends” they never met, there a serial killer in N.Y…. I say leave the small comforts alone.
I like the original baby instead of a toddler. Not cool
Gerber Baby should mean just that, Gerber Baby. The toddler is beautiful, but not a baby.
Great post. Thanks.
I really liked the article, and the very cool blog
How can you possibly be mad because they decided to find a new Gerber baby? Times change… and so do the things in it.. Do your research.. they have all types of categories for Gerber.. it doesn’t say NEWBORN.. Stop the negativeness and just be happy for the family or don’t comment at all!
your right about the categories but your not right about the change. the gerber is a reconized and loved face. we dont want change because we are all happy with it.Change is good for the most part. but we want Dorothy hope smith.
Would you be thinking about exchanging links?
The original baby picture is why I bought Gerber products. I fell in love with the image as a young girl, and it stayed fresh in my mind when I became a mother. Yes, times do change. Still, it is always fun to have an image that stirs nostalgia. Shame on you Gerber. I bet sales fall. Time will tell.
