Our new favorite movie theatre is the Rave Cinemas in the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza (sorry The Grove). What was once the Magic Johnson Theaters has been given a much needed renovation and is now a state-of-the-art, 15 screens with 3D and Imax capability theatre…all in my backyard. They did a fab job on the reno and added a really nice courtyard area.
On Wednesdays, they offer $6 movies ($4.25 for kids), for any movie. We saw the Smurfs, which was ok. K enjoyed it, and so did my wallet. I believe it’s a summer promotion, don’t have the exact date when it will end. So catch it while you can.
The mall is also undergoing a renovation and we can’t wait to see the finished product on this as well.
