Gov. Jerry Brown signs law to protect child actors

(LA Times) Gov. Jerry Brown on Thursday signed into law a measure to afford greater protections of young actors in Hollywood, after recent revelations about child molesters working in the entertainment industry.

The law bars registered sex offenders from representing minors working in the entertainment business. It requires criminal background checks for managers, publicists, photographers and others with unsupervised access to young performers. Read entire story here.
