That’s a different post for a different day though.

It’s a very quick read, chock full of tips, tricks, and best of all beauty product recommendations that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Definitely a resource you want to keep on hand as a reference.

Skin Rules reads like you’re chatting with your bestie who also happens to be a dermatologist. She touches on topics such as cleansers, what to look out for in sunscreens, acne, and for women of a certain age (me!) anti-aging creams and serums.

Some of the rules are no-brainers, such as the one about beauty sleep not being a myth (dark circles are never a good accessory) but there was plenty of information, especially the over-the-counter recs that had me taking notes.

I’m not a sun worshipper, so the rules about sunscreen and protection go on for a bit too long. It’s such an interesting read from her perspective, I wish she would have included even more information. Each rule is about a page to a page and a half. My only gripe is that there is no table of contents or index and you’re reduced to flipping through the pages to find what you’re looking for.

Want to win a copy of Skin Rules and a cool gift bag filled with beauty products mentioned in the book? Leave a comment below about your best beauty trick and one lucky winner will be chosen randomly. Enter by March 13th and the winner will be notified on 3/14/12.

Here’s a video of the winner being selected.

Or if you don’t feel like watching – the winner is L. Malaika Cooper.

Along with Got Milk’s latest campaign with Salma Hayek, they’ve also created a fabu site with everything you wanted to know and more about breakfast. It’s aptly called The Breakfast Project.

Salma Hayek along with celeb chef Ellie Krieger were on hand to debut the new commercials as well as the

Did you know that one cup of milk has as much protein as an egg? Me neither. Now I won’t feel so bad if at the very least, my child gets a cup a milk on her way out the door in the mornings.

The Breakfast Project has plenty of helpful tips to jumpstart your mornings. Salma Hayek offers a few of her own including how she keeps a variety of cereal on hand so her daughter won’t get bored.

There are also recipes. Ellie’s breakfast cookies look yummy and seem like the perfect on-the-go food. So check out the site and see how much better your mornings can be.

To this, in what seems over night (I’m guessing because not only have I not experienced this transformation with my child but even if I did, I have been sternly forbidden not to write anything about said child online). Tweens, got to love ‘em.

My realtor was correct in saying that you have to an offer before the bank will consider a short sale.

Please, keep your fingers and crossed that this will happen quickly and I can put this episode far, far behind me. I only have three words to say to the next person who may be considering co-signing a loan for their friend, brother, lover or Jesus….DON’T DO IT!

Alright mamas (and daddy’s too), usually I post contest for the little ones, but this one is for you! We all know your mini-me’s tickle you to death, why not show how much they make you smile and win a free trip to NY, free teeth whitening and a $1,000 to spend in the process?

Topdentists.com is sponsoring a contest – Who Makes You Smile? All you have to do is to uploada captivating, exciting photo of yourself with someone who makes you smile, and write a brief description about the picture in 140 characters or less (think Tweet caption). Hit the social media campaign trail and use Twitter, Facebook, blogging, email and word of mouth to enlist all of your friends, family, friends of friends, family friends – everyone! – to vote for your submission by February 24.

The five submissions with the most votes will be eligible for the grand prize. The top three entries within 100 miles of Troy, MI; Philadelphia, PA; Aventura, FL; Austin, TX; and Beverly Hills, CA, will be judged for the five regional prizes. Go here for complete details.

Good luck and keep smiling!
